Visit to the Center for Attention to Returned Migrants CAM-OMOA. OMOA | Honduras

On May 27, 2021, Dr. Miguel Villarroel, Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, visited the Center for Attention to Returned Migrants in the city of OMOA on the border of Honduras and Guatemala.

During this visit, it was possible to observe the extraordinary humanitarian work carried out by the Honduran Red Cross when receiving returned migrants from neighboring countries. There it was possible to verify the work to preserve human dignity, protect the rights of the vulnerable and strengthen through psychosocial support upon arrival back to Honduras, as well as giving them food, a rest area and transportation to their place of origin.
