Dr. Miguel Villarroel participated in the Wash-Hub Meeting, held in the city of San Salvador on March 14, 2025.
As part of the commemoration of the 140th anniversary of the Salvadoran Red Cross and based on the sustainability pillar in the Wash-Hub concept note, the National Societies highlight the need to establish mechanisms that ensure the continuity and growth of this regional initiative. This long-term vision begins from the first year of implementation, in line with the Guatemala Declaration of April 2023, which urges the promotion of Wash-Hub to donors and partners, both within and outside the Movement, to secure programmatic and technical resources that guarantee the sustainability of this platform. With this objective, a high-level meeting of the National Societies that make up Wash-Hub is promoted during the 140th anniversary to discuss the progress achieved, the established coordination structure, and the next actions to be developed, thus contributing to strengthening the humanitarian response in water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion in the region.
