Meeting of the Inter-American Regional Committee of the Red Cross (CORI)

Meeting of the Inter-American Regional Committee CORI, with the participation of 35 presidents of the sister Societies of the Red Cross of the Americas, began its day with the official installation of the event that meets in the city of Bogota, Colombia, where the official opening was held Dr. Francesco Rocca, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Dr. Miguel Ángel Villarroel, Regional Vice President of the IFRC, Dr. Gil Carbonnier, Vice President of the ICRC, Dr. Dr. Jean Pierre Guiteau, President of CORI, Dr. Maria Carmelina Londoño, Vice Minister of Multilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Colombia, and the hostess, the president of the National Society of the Colombian Red Cross and Vice President of CORI, Mrs. Judith Carvajal de Alvarez, making visible the recognition that the Colombian Red Cross has in the humanitarian work carried out in the country, as well as in support of other National Societies.

There were 2 days of extensive regional institutional development, obtaining great results for decision-making in the American continent.
