On December 10, 2023, Dr. Miguel Villarroel, Vice President of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, held a meeting with the president, Mrs. Kristina Kumpula and other members of the Mediation and Compliance Commission of the International Federation to analyze and seek solutions to the difficult situation that the Brazilian Red Cross finds itself in. The other members representing the National Societies of the Governing Board of the American continent participated in this meeting, including Dr. Judith Carvajal de Álvarez (Colombia), José Juan Castro (Honduras), and Getson Lamour (Haiti).
