On March 16, 2021, Dr. Miguel Villarroel (Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies), held a virtual meeting with the vast majority of the presidents of the Red Cross of the American continent.
The call was made by the President of the Inter-American Regional Committee (CORI) Dr. Jean Pierre Guiteau, and with the participation as a special guest of Dr. Francesco Rocca (President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies).
At this meeting, a resolution of support was made by the majority of the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies for the XXIII General Assembly to be held in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
