On November 22, 2024, Dr. Miguel Villarroel, Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, held a virtual meeting with the Federation’s President, Katherine Forbes, and the Under-Secretary of Operations, Xavier Castellanos, to analyze in detail the current situation of the Peruvian Red Cross.
This National Society is currently suspended from membership in the International Organization due to disciplinary measures taken by the Federation’s Governing Board.
