Visit to Las Tejerias | Aragua state – Venezuela

The Las Tejerías landslide caused by the overflow of the Los Patos ravine on the night of Saturday, October 8, as a result of the rains caused by Hurricane Julia, left hundreds of families homeless, dead, and missing in the area.

The Venezuelan Red Cross team was responding from day one with search and rescue, first aid, pre-hospital care, psychosocial support and Restoring Family Contact. In November, Dr. Miguel Ángel Villarroel accompanied the volunteers in delivering supplies such as hygiene kits, kitchen kits, and cleaning kits to the affected families.
