Between 29 and 31 October 2024, Dr. Miguel Villarroel participated in the International Conference of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement with the attendance of the majority of the National Societies of the Movement, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and representatives of the Governments.
Dr. Villarroel was appointed by the Federation to make the statement on behalf of the organization before all the National Societies and the Governments on the theme “Voices of the Conference” a space reserved for the highest level of statements by the members parties to the Conference. It is an honor for Dr. Villarroel to be able to represent the Federation at such an important event.
At this event, the authorities that would represent the Permanent Commission of the Movement were elected, composed of Mrs. Mercedes Babe (President) and other members, Mr. George Kettaneh, Mr. Ping Wang, Mr. Sven Mollekleiv and Mrs. Helen Durham.
