The most important regional event of the humanitarian organization where the 32 National Societies of the American continent participated was inaugurated by Dr. Miguel Villarroel who is the Vice President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Under the motto “Leadership and Sustainability: local solutions, global challenges” the XXII Inter-American Conference of the Red Cross is inaugurated under the shared conviction about the transcendent work that solidarity and humanitarian action represents for the development of the most vulnerable communities and disadvantaged on the continent.
There was also the conviction of the added value that Red Cross volunteering represents and, above all, what it means in terms of showing a future of hope to millions of people in the American continent in difficulty due to different circumstances.
