The International Organization of Human Rights (OIDDH), awarded the distinction for the extensive humanitarian work in favor of Human Rights
The Vice President of the International Federation of International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), Dr. Miguel Villarroel Sierraalta, was honored with the Martin Luther King Order, in his first class, on December 7, 2017, at the city of Caracas-Venezuela.
The International Organization for Human Rights (OIDDH) recognizes the distinguished work in defense of human rights at a global level, taking into account the scope and legal impact of the work recognized by the international community. This organization also recognizes, the members of the Legal, Political and Humanistic Forum of global scale, all this linked to the humanitarian work of universal reach.
The namesake of this award “Martin Luther King” refers to the man who fights for the defense of civil rights, in the US and its impact on world history, an icon of freedom, human rights and global democracy.
In the company of his family and friends, Dr. Miguel Villarroel receives this distinction with the recognition of colleagues present at the event.
This distinction has the endorsement of the Bar Association chapter Venezuela.
