Dr. Miguel visited the Ñuñoa branch – La Reina of the National Society of the Chilean Red Cross. During this visit, he had a meeting with part of his board of directors and participated in the graduation ceremony of 14 candidates for the primary nursing assistant course.

Dr. Miguel Villarroel visited the “Santa Julia” Polyclinic, in Nuñoa staffed by Volunteers of the Chilean Red Cross, chapter Ñuñoa – La Reina, on this occasion the motivation was given to deliver trousseaux to teenage mothers.

Dr. Miguel Villarroel met Mr. Enrique Beltrán (Governor of the City of Santiago), where the situation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies could be expressed today and the very good relationship which is maintained with the National Society of the Chilean Red Cross.

On May 16, 2019, Dr. Miguel Villarroel held a meeting with the Minister of Interior of Chile Mr. Don Andrés Chadwick, where he showed a deep interest in the situation of Venezuelans in that country.

Dr. Miguel Villarroel met with attorney Mijail Bonito, Presidential Advisor on Immigration Policy. In this meeting it was possible to analyze the complex migratory situation of Venezuelans in this country.

On May 11, 2019, Dr. Miguel Villarroel participated via Sky in the Leadership Skills Development (DHL) course organized by the American Red Cross with the participation of 60 students from 7 countries (Panama, El Salvador, Honduras , Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador and the United States)
